Gargoyle geckos (Rhacodactylus auriculatus) are arboreal lizards native to the islands of New Caledonia. They are named for their distinctive appearance, resembling gargoyles found on old buildings. Adult gargoyle geckos typically range from 7-10 inches in length, with males generally being larger than females. With proper care, gargoyle geckos can live for 15 to 20 years in captivity.
